The story behind ALTéRA
Jean-Hugues, its founder, tells it like this:
“With ALTéRA, I want to pass that way of traveling on to families: following a well-thought-out itinerary, while still leaving room for the unexpected.”
As a child, I traveled with my parents — my father, a history and geography teacher, taught me to look beyond the scenery: the history of a place, its people, what they pass on. I kept that taste for discovery, and above all for the surprises that make an outing unforgettable: an unplanned village, an artisan met by chance, a local festival on just the right day.
ALTéRA's ambition is to become the reference for family trips built around a place — in France, then in Europe.
